 Oasis

​​Sand dunes: Large piles of sand stacked on top of each other creating a large hill. The sand dunes of the Takla Makan desert are called shifting sand dunes and the Takla Makan desert is the largest shifting desert.

Oasis: An isolated area of vegetation surrounding a water source. The oases were important to travelers because the oases provided them and their animals with water and vegetation.

 Mountain

​ ​ Mountains: A natural elevation of the earth’s surface. Kunlun mountains. The kunlun mountains is the longest mountain range in asia.

 River

​​Rivers: A large natural stream of flowing water. Tarim Basin River.
